LiveText Update

by: Alice B. Hambright, Technology Specialist

LiveText is HERE! (http://www.LiveText.com/) Initial candidate, faculty and staff response continues to be overwhelmingly positive!

So far this semester over 300 lucky candidates enrolled in one or more of our identified implementation courses have been issued FREE LiveText accounts and given FREE LiveText basic training.

There is still much to be done, but it is encouraging to look back at how much we have already accomplished in this short period of time.

LiveText is making it possible for candidates to have secure access to their portfolios including all their materials (documents, presentations, etc.) anywhere and at anytime they have access to the Internet.

School of Education course, program, and unit templates, assessments, and electronic forms will be added to our LiveText Admin account over the course of the semester, and shared with the proper people, so that LiveText will become more and more easy to use.

Faculty, staff, and administrators can then use LiveText to easily collect needed program/unit data, generate reports from that data, and use this information to make informed program/unit decisions.

At present, committees are continuing to meet to create or modify the final assessment pieces. The goal is to become the BEST that we can be in order to better help our candidates and their future students achieve that same goal.
